Born in Daegu, studied film cinematography at the Seoul Institute of the Arts. Ash is a cinematographer grounded in the language of cinema.

 

Ash’s work has screened and been awarded at major festivals such as the Busan International Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, and the Jeonju International Film Festival.

 

Now expanding into K-pop music videos and commercials, Ash continues to push the visual approach beyond traditional formats—drawing from painting, photography, and other image-based practices to shape bold and distinctive work.
